I visited on a quick trip to Montgomery, and I would go back just for this breakfast. It is a small building, so that can kind of be overwhelming. The parking is a little tough, but just be patient and walk across the street, if needed. Make sure that you bring cash. Everything that I ordered was amazing and the cost doesn't even compare to what you get. I ordered the breakfast with sausage, eggs, and grits with toast. And an order of pancakes.
Oh my my. This place is the real deal. The food is very delicious. We enjoyed it very much. No place to eat there. We did walk across the street and eat outside at the closed business outside deck. It was fun and the food was very enjoyable. We loved it. By the way you are in the "hood". No problems for us (white people from Detroit). The best place for breakfast in Montgomery.
Man that was a soulful breakfast!! And I was in and out in under 2 minutes! I went for the first time and had the salmon croquettes, cheese grits, eggs, toast and a drink at a reasonable price l! The food is delicious! I almost gave 5 stars but the only small flaw was a few of the bigger bones in the salmon croquettes. Out side of that .. top notch!
Food is really good and the service was fast! The prices are reasonable and the portion of food is really good. I would definitely recommend. There isn't much parking spaces and you'll have to take your food to go but don't let that deter you from coming to pick up some amazing food.
This was the best restaurant I've ever been to in a while the food was the best I've ever had I absolutely cannot wait till i return to this place I'm not from here I'm a college student at Alabama state and i will definitely tell everyone about this place
The breakfast is really great here and I love their pancakes. The staff is pretty friendly but the ambiance is not great. I wish they could take a little more pride in their establishment but I guess the locals dont care.
Hit up Barbara Gail's while I was visiting family in town and this is some of the best breakfast I've ever had! They have basically any breakfast item you could want and it's all served fresh. I've had the catfish breakfast here before but on my most recent trip, I got the chicken wing breakfast and my girl got the shrimp and grits. The service is great and the staff is friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good Southern breakfast!
Great neighborhood spot for breakfast. Real friendly folks behind the counter. I had a breakfast platter with link sausage, eggs, toast and buttered rice. My wife had a breakfast sandwich with sausage patties. Everything was hot and tasty. Place was clean and service was fast. Bring cash no credit or debit cards...
My very first time eating here and I must say, it was great. I ordered the Swai fish along with shrimp and grits (and scrambled eggs of course). Due to COVID-19 only two people are allowed inside but you can place your order at the window outside. Masks are required. They do not have a phone to accept call in orders and that is my only complaint because the wait can be lengthy.
